Wow. I can say I am surprised to write this review, but I feel obligated to write this. I would consider us to be almost regulars; if not weekly, at least 3 times per month. Always enjoyed the food, but tonight there was a lady that showed an "x" on our way in at 820pm (hours of business are until 9pm) she said we are closed, and we still need to clean up. When I asked if we could order pho for take out she also said "no" Disappointed to say the least. Everyone is entitled To a bad day, but the friendly feel that kept us coming there was all negated this evening. I don't feel I will come back and all because years of business meant nothing in the grand scheme of it. Of Course there were still grub hub orders happening, and for The record there were only 2 table seated. What a shame.

I've have visited every Pho 79 on multiple occasions since 2015. I can tell you that not every Pho 79 is created equally. This one in Chesapeake seems to be consistently superior over their sister restaurants. Their pho broth seems much richer. Their meat toppings are much more generous regardless of which combo you order. The only close second is the location in Ghent.

I get take out here often and it is amazing! The food is always high quality and very consistent each time. Also, the service here is also worth mentioning because it is phenomenal. The last time I went here I had tried to order something that they didn’t have at the time and they went above and beyond by offering to comp my drink instead. They didn’t have to do that so it was very nice of them to do so and I appreciated the generosity very much. Also, another employee saw that the order I had was more bags than I could carry myself so they again went above and beyond by carrying the order outside for me. This restaurant is a top choice and I can’t say enough about how much they set the bar high for customer service.

Service was great, food was amazing! I got grilled shrimp meal. So delicious. Beef pho was awesome, the crab rangoons were sooooooo good.

Ordered the chicken pho delicious umm good Service was as aspected not a regular so they ignored me and wife. The appetizer was placed on the table quickly with no plates to place the app on. The shrimp rockets were good. The beans sprouts and lime was rancid
